Energetic + Playful Engagement Session in San Diego's Beautiful Balboa Park | Summer + Bobby

Balboa Park always seems to keep me on my toes as a photographer. Over the years, I've gone back and forth between dreading the idea of shooting there on a weekend + feeling positively inspired by what the space has to offer...finally I think I've landed somewhere beautifully in-between.

Honestly, the trick for me has been embracing a little spontaneity + getting creative in all the incredible nooks + crannies around the park. There are plenty of "iconic" spots to shoot at, but I would much rather wander + get inspired as we go!

For Summer + Bobby, it wasn't important to get anything iconic...they had spent so many wonderful dates in this big, beautiful park, that this was just that - another date :) However, they definitely sat in more plants than usual. Hah!
